ICAO Senior Admistrative Assistant, Eileen Murdoch, retires after 37 years of service

Paris (France), 2 June 2009 -
After 37 years of service as Senior Administrative Assistant in the EUR/NAT Office, Eileen Murdoch retired on 29 May 2009.

Throughout the years Eileen has been a steady hard-worker and entirely dedicated to her work in ICAO, always being ready to provide valuable advice to her colleagues with a willingness to deliver the best service possible. She has painstakingly done her utmost to interpret the rules and regulations in a fair and equal way keeping both the interests of the staff member and those of the Organization in mind. Eileen always went beyond the scope of her responsibilities and she was a driving force and anchor person in the Human Resources Unit. At the EUR/NAT Office, this Unit covers a vast area of subjects related to personnel, administration, recruitment, travel, budget, relations with French Authorities, service to past and retired staff, statistics, and much more.

Eileen's EUR/NAT colleagues and friends thank her most sincerely for all her excellent work and companionship over the years and wish her good health to enjoy every moment of a joyful and fulfilling future.

In spite of the fact that Eileen has always been diligent in passing on her fountain of knowledge to her colleagues, we are all aware that maintaining the level of competence and service without her is going to be challenging.
